አዲስ አበባ ለአፍሪካ ከተሞች ተምሳሌት መሆን ጀምራለች!ከንቲባ አዳነች አቤቤ
ዛሬ አዲስ አበባ ለሁለተኛ ጊዜ ያስተናገደችውን የአፍሪካ ከተሞች ከንቲባዎች አመራር ኢኒሼቲቭ (AMALI) የ2026 የአመራሮች ፎረም ተሳታፊዎችን ተቀብለናል። ይህ መድረክ ልምድ ለመለዋወጥ፣ እርስ በርስ ለመማማርና ከተማችን እያካሄደች ያለውን የለውጥ ጉዞ ለማካፈል ጠቃሚ ዕድል ፈጥሯል።
የከተማችን የለውጥ ጉዞ በጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ዶ/ር ዐቢይ አሕመድ አርቆ አሳቢነትና ለከተማዋ ባስቀመጡት ራዕይ የተቃኘ ነው። ይህንን ራዕይ ወደ ተጨባጭ የልማት ውጤቶች እየቀየርን ነው። በትራንስፖርት፣ በቤቶች ልማት፣ በቴክኖሎጂ የተደገፉ አገልግሎቶችና በትውልድ ግንባታ ላይ በምናከናውናቸው ሥራዎች የነዋሪዎቻችንን ተጠቃሚነት እያረጋገጥን ነው።
በራሳችን የፋይናንስና የዕውቀት አቅም ላይ ተመሥርተን በመሥራታችን፣ የአዲስ አበባ ተሞክሮ ለሌሎች የአፍሪካና የዓለም ከተሞች ጠቃሚ ትምህርቶችን እያበረከተና አዳዲስ የልማት ዕድሎችን እያመላከተ መሆኑ ያስደስተናል።
በተለይም አዲስ አበባን በአፍሪካ ህፃናትን ለማሳደግ ምርጥ ከተማ ለማድረግ ያለንን ጽኑ ቁርጠኝነት እያሳየን ነው። በሕፃናት እድገት (ECD) ላይ ያተኮሩ ተግባራትን በማጠናከር፣ የሕፃናትን ደህንነት፣ ትምህርትና የወደፊት ሕይወት በከተማችን የልማት አጀንዳ ማዕከል ላይ አስቀምጠናል።
ከየአፍሪካ ከተሞች ከንቲባዎች አመራር ኢኒሼቲቭ (AMALI) መሪዎችና የፎረሙ ተሳታፊዎች ጋር በመሆን፣ በከተማችን በልዩ ሁኔታ የተገነባውንና ለፕሮግራሙ ከፍተኛ አስተዋጽኦ ባደረገችው ክብርት ሊዛ ዲዬጎ መታሰቢያ የተሰየመውን የሕፃናት እንክብካቤ ማዕከል መርቀን ለአገልግሎት ከፍተናል።
ለዚህ መርሐ ግብር ስኬት አስተዋጽኦ ያደረጉትን የቢግ ዊን ፊላንትሮፒ መሥራች፣ ሊቀመንበርና ፕሬዝዳንት ጄሚ ኩፐርን፣ የፋውንዴሽኑን ዋና ሥራ አስፈጻሚ ዶ/ር ከሠተ አድማሱን፣ አማካሪዎችንና የፕሮግራሙን አመራሮች በሙሉ ከልብ አመሰግናለሁ።

Today, we welcomed participants of the 2026 African Mayors Leadership Initiative (AMALI) Mayors Leadership Forum, hosted in Addis Ababa for the second time. The forum provides a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences, learn from one another, and share our city’s ongoing transformation journey.
Addis Ababa’s transformation is guided by the forward-looking vision of H.E Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed Ali . We are translating this vision into tangible development results. Through investments in transport, housing, technology-enabled public services, and the development of future generations, we are working to improve the lives of our residents.
By building on our own financial and knowledge capacities, we are developing solutions that offer valuable lessons for cities across Africa and beyond, while opening new opportunities for urban development.
Above all, we remain firmly committed to making Addis Ababa the best city in Africa to raise children. By strengthening our Early Childhood Development (ECD) initiatives, we have placed children’s well-being, education, and future opportunities at the heart of our city’s development agenda.
Together with AMALI leaders and forum participants, we also inaugurated and opened for service a uniquely designed childcare center in Addis Ababa, named in memory of the Honorable Lisa Diego, whose contribution to the program has been invaluable.
